ONLY IF //x// YOU TRAIN

Everyone wants to save the people they care about. But a gun in a drawer isn’t readiness; reps are. When was the last time you ran a reload under pressure or used a timer to add stress? #gunsofinstagram #gunsdaily #firearmtraining ...

FAST ONLY COUNTS //x// IF YOU HIT

Warming up for the next Knockdown Steel match. We switch up the arrays often. This is one is a cluster of &-inch and a-zone at 10 yards. Goal time is 2 seconds. Go fast and control the accuracy.

Knockdown Steel is different from USPSA in one major respect: you can’t fling a delta and keep it pushing. All of the steel must fall which means a center hits on every single target no exceptions.

Running the @oa.defense 2311 Pro Elite.

Get out and train. ...

IRON SIGHTS //x// ARE DEAD

4A2C run focused on speed. The dot is faster. That’s not an opinion, it’s a timer. Dots on every carry gun because they’re the better tool. You don’t even need backup irons. There are multiple backup aiming reference options even with the dot off. Irons-only fudds — when you’re done yelling at clouds make your case 👇

THE WAIT //x// IS OVER

@colt.optics MRS-1 fully enclosed optic. Thin side bezels despite having a side mounted battery. Crystal clear glass, defined 3 MOA dot. Top mounted controls. Same size as the pending AEMS Micro slightly longer. 35lb torque spec in a T-15 bolt clamp. This thing will not move. Held precise zero over 400 rounds.

We aren’t sponsored by Colt; obtained this from the market out of pure curiosity. So far it is a clear winner for enclosed, large window optics.

INADEQUATE //x// PERIOD

Micro compacts dominate sales but the two major places we don’t see them: the RANGE and the MATCH. Based on sales data we should be seeing an over representation of 3.7” barrels everywhere we look. But everyone leaves them at home when it’s time to PERFORM.

@oa.defense Compact Pro has entered the chat. 4.25 barrel and shoots nearly identical to the full size. Same great trigger, same flat return.

OUTDOOR //x// VS INDOOR

We outside literally. Outdoor training requires some investment but is more flexible in terms of what can be done. Top of the list are movement, multiple targets and the ability to speak without being overrun by gunfire from 2 feet away.

NORTH //x// CAROLINA

Had the honor of visiting and touring the @oa.defense manufacturing plant in Robbins, NC. It was a visually stunning and highly educational experience. “Made in USA” hits different when you meet and shake hands with the people who do the work.

I believe it’s important to trust the company and people who make the life saving tools I use to protect myself and my family. I now know them personally, and I have no doubt that “Serve something greater” is not just a catchphrase, it’s a foundational principle.

38% //x// IS WILD

#1- Get out and train. Your tradecraft and ability to defend what you love is your responsibility.

#2- Vet your instructors. It’s not necessary to be an expert to understand basics. If your instructor spends too much time telling stories, yells or acts dramatic, ignores basic safety protocols and/or doesn’t demonstrate proficiency, WALK AWAY.

Train with professionals who demonstrate skills and speak in plain language. Not salesmen. Not former blah blah who use big words to make concepts overly complex. Thank us later.
