Circa 2015: still with the feds but branching out to better personal equipment. State of the art LWRCI piston M6-IC, PMAGs, Aimpoint T1. Running a TDI on the plate carrier (ultimately this would only work moderately well). The Crye Precision JPC (gen 1) still holds up as one of the best and most comfortable plate carriers.

Here we are 10 years later still celebrating our love together. We have built a whole life in the 11 years of knowing each other. I remember at our 8 year anniversary, we were both thinking “OMG we’re almost 10 years married, WTH!” Now we are here and still can’t believe it!
We were by each others side through all our major life moments from saying I Do, to having kids, changing careers, buying our first home together, graduations and so much more. At this point we are inseparable, more like Bonnie and Clyde- ride or die type of love. There is no other person I’d rather spend those 11 years with. Thank you for being our everything. Continuing the carry gun theme, competed knockdown steel with the modified Glock 48 Adjudicator from concealment in a 3-piece suit and tie. Despite some minor issues, performance was respectable and simply required more effort in terms of grip consistency and presentation of the much smaller optic window.
Assuming performance level with a platform and without all the tactical/competition equipment is much different than doing it. As my brother Big @7mikedsmith always says, “Don’t THINK you can, KNOW you can”

I had the honor of connecting Darius Mayfield to speak at my local gun club. Pictured here with the honorable Senator Owen Henry, @darius4america is not only concerned with our children’s education, American energy independence, economic equality and AMERICA FIRST, but he is also a staunch 2nd Amendment advocate.
He earns votes by getting out there- engaging with and caring about people. This is the way. He is going to take the seat in Congressional District 12 and continue to fight for not just black people, not just white people, but ALL Americans.
Just when we thought politics was completely lost, we are about to get the representation we deserve.

There may be instances where you feel the need to draw a firearm but not shoot due to a rapid change in circumstances. Be prepared.
Training all types of presentation can negate the need for a heavier trigger. Realistically, the trigger should not be treated as a threat management device. Touching it means you fully intend to spit lead. Zero exceptions.
If you never touch the trigger except to shoot, it really doesn’t matter whether it pulls at 2lbs or 12lbs (NYPD). Heavy triggers are a generally a crutch for poor handling and poor decision making.

Focus 1: 7 meter draw to 2 rounds (recoil control) and transition to 8” target. Focus 2: gun on target, shot dictated by timer with transition to second (8”) target.
For focus 2, started the day around 0.66 total time. Got down to 0.44 average after reps. Practice works.

The sound of steel is satisfying. Paper reveals precision, but when working for accuracy and speed, a small steel target does the job very well.
The moderate cost of 1-2 steel targets + stands and 2x4” wood is worthwhile to get solid training. Easy setup and takedown, zero maintenance.

Continued exploration of KAIJU standards aka valuable skill sets. 3 rounds A-zone 7 yards. “3” isn’t a magic number but experienced medical professionals generally agree that 3 shots to center mass causes significant internal dysfunction that will likely take the fight out of the evil doer.
Great way to determine baseline is to shoot it cold. Ran 1.27 without pressing too hard for speed. This will inform the eventual standard par time.

Cementing the drills I believe are important to shooter skill packages. If not careful, timed standards can be douchey and the idea here is not to lord them over people just because I’ve done them 1000x.
Timed standards can also encourage people to get out and train; to figuratively “shoot” for something. With GRMTAC I’m aiming to assemble drills that are relevant and logical, not simply trick shooting oddball sequences. More to come.

Revisiting the @oa.defense Compact Pro AGAIN. The more it shoots the better it feels. Just passed 1000 rounds and 15 pulls with the force gauge register the trigger now at a super consistent 3.4/3.5 pull weight.
The ergonomics of this gun are insane even running the compact 15 round magwell. Pressing excellent times from concealment with manual safety deactivation. This gun is a quantum leap forward in carry guns. Oh- and it takes sig P320 mags in case you forgot.
If you’d like to scream “shill” you’d be mistaken. This gun was purchased, not gifted. It just happens to be a great investment.
